Reba (Honaker) and Norman Jones celebrate their 65th

Whitley City — Reba (Honaker) and Norman Jones of Sidney, married April 9, 1946, celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. They exchanged their marriage vows in Jones Hollar, KY. The marriage was officiated by G.P. Jones and witnesses to the event were Monroe Jones, Nina (Jones) Cotterman, Richard Jones and Rachel Jones.

The couple has three children: Monte Richard Jones (deceased), Deborah (Ivan) Michael, Sidney, and Norma Jean Jones of Jackson Center, OH. They have been blessed with four granchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Reba has a sister, Wanda Trabert, West Liberty, OH and Marion T. Honaker of West Virginia and Larry Honaker of Oregon. Deceased are Dorothy Workman, and Paul, Floyd, William and Phillip Honaker. Norman has two brothers: Walter and Arnold Jones and three sisters, Elva Jones, Nova Hawkey and Evelyne Jones, all of Sidney, OH. three brothers, Romer, Monroe and Gilson Jones and three sisters, Dora Maxwell, Laura Jones and Ann Inman are deceased.

Reba’s parents were Winfard and Ora Honaker. Norman’s parents were Richard and Sara Jones. Reba enjoys flower arranging, Eastern Star and reading. Norman enjoys gardening, bowling, whittling and visiting his grandchildren. Reba spent many years in the nursing field at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney, OH retiring in October 1993. Norman retired after 47 years from The Stolle Corporation on May 1. 1991.
