Watters celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary

Whitley City — Don & Charlotte (Hammon) Watters married November 22, 1961 in Indianapolis, IN at the home of Elizabeth Vaughn, charlotte’s grandmother. The ceremony was performed by Simon Watters, Don’s brother.   The couple currently reside in Daleville, Indiana.

Their parents are the late: Henley & Lillie Watters from Stearns, Kentucky and  Bill & Geneva Hammon from Indianapolis, Indiana.

 

Don & Charlotte enjoy traveling together and spending time with their children and grandchildren.  Loves large family functions.   Don is retired from General Motors where he worked for over 43 years.   Charlotte enjoys staying home and being a homemaker.  They both love music.  Don, a former member of the Cross Carriers Gospel Group (Muncie, Indiana), still loves to sing gospel music whenever the opportunity is available.  Don is also learning to play the guitar and is loving every minute of it.

 

Don & Charlotte have four children: Kathy Richman (Jef) , Don Watters, Jr. (Nica), Robin Gregory (Gene), Mark Watters (Becky) and eight grandchildren.

 

Hosted by their children and grandchildren, we are having an anniversary celebration in honor of 50th years of marriage on Saturday, November 19,  2011, at Westside United Baptist Church in Muncie, Indiana.
