Gilbert & Lois Troxell’s 70th anniversary

    Lois Cooper and Gilbert Troxell were married July 18, 1942 in Williamsburg, KY. Gib said he did not have any  money to pay the   minister but he did give him a “thank you.”

    They are the parents of four children: Gary Troxell and Charles Troxell, both of Revelo; Anne Cross, London, KY and Mike Troxell, Pine Knot. They have 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

    Gilbert is a World War II Veteran, who fought in The Battle of the Bulge.

    The couple operated Troxell Grocery in Revelo for years  and later had Troxell’s Furniture and Appliance in Dixie.

    Gib turned 90 in June and Lois, who is 92 and after 70 years of marriage, still signs her name as Mrs. Gilbert Troxell.
