Rev. Carl Allen Celebrates 100 Years

WHITLEY CITY — Rev. Carl Allen, who was with the McCreary County School system for twenty-two years, the last fifteen of those years being Principal of Whitley City Elementary, as well as the Minister of Whitley City Christian Church for twenty years, will celebrate his 100th birthday on April 16.

Rev. Allen and his wife, Ila, reside at 100 Liberty Road, Milton, Kentucky 40045. They are the parents of three daughters, Joeline, Eulene and Marcella, and one son, Ermal.

Rev. Allen’s birthday will be recognized and celebrated at their church, North Madison Christian Church in Madison, Indiana, on Sunday, April 18. Rev. Allen has long been helpful in the growth of that church, whose average Sunday attendance is in excess of seven hundred. North Madison Christian Church held their recent Easter Sunday service at the Madison, Indiana, gym where over twenty-two hundred attended.

Rev. Allen’s upcoming birthday was recently celebrated at Carrollton Christian School which he helped develop in Carrollton, Kentucky.
