Tea Parties

Dear Editor:

I would like to offer a response to Peter Ferrara’s questions concerning the Tea party movement.

I have yet to actually attend a Tea party rally, but I have been in contact with the lead organizers of some of the larger groups. From the information I have gathered the 1st Boston Teaparty group has much in common with those of today.

Both groups are protesting a government that wanted to (1)regulate through taxation outside the will of the people (2) enact this tax on a certain group of people, the middle (working class) &(3) take freedoms from this same group through enforcement of the new tax or regulations.

Another question Ferrara asked was whose taxes should be lowered. The working middle class folk and companies that do not out source to other countries! Also small companies that are working 50 or less employee’s should be given tax breaks, and all companies that will employ vets, handicapped individuals, minorities and legal immigrates.

Who is the middle class? According to candidate Obama every individual or family who make less than $250,000.00 per year. According to him those Americans wouldn’t have to worry about higher taxes. Now President Obama changed his definition to those families or folks making $150,000.00 down to the poverty level as being middle class.

All the companies that provide any type of service or produce any type goods which us poor and middle class folks purchase will have a higher tax . Now we all have common sense enough to know that acorns, all nuts for that matter, roll down hill and so do taxes, at least in Kentucky so all of our electric bills, heating fuel, gas and groceries will cost more to pay for the higher company tax! Higher middle class taxes may have hurt my bank account less!

Reality is this, Obama’s game plan of , “One must first spend money to make money”, has cost all Americans more than we can afford. As of today America’s debt is beyond what our great grand children will be able to pay.

The middle class Tea party folks want our current leadership (Washingtons career politicians) to stop the pork spending now! Live like they have asked us to do. Stop flying the private jets, go on American Airlines. Stay in Motel 8 or Holiday Inn when they must travel. If they go out for the evening use their own dollar, not our tax dollars! Also if we ever get a national health care ,then the Washington crowd should have the same as everyone else! Their own money should pay for the caddy plans they seem to think they deserve. The nation can’t afford national healthcare at this time! Stop spending!

Now, Mr. Ferrara, to address the rights we have lost, When the 1st Tea party was organized, they were living in colonies where if they wanted to speak about God or post the 10 commandments on court house walls it was O.K. If other folks felt differently about God and his law, they were free to their opinion, however the majority of folks had a healthy regard for God and wanted their children to know his 10 main rules, if for no other reason, his laws was and remain good rules for any society if one wants to have order rather than riot. I do not refer to doctrine, just a basic in God we trust!

Today christians are not even allowed to have a moment for silent prayer in our public schools, but we must be tolerent of all other foriegn regilions! What is wrong with the founding fathers freedoms to pray and include God’s commandments and our pledge of alleigence? Do you want to live next door to a thief, murderer, lier, a covetous pervert, who craves your wife all day long, or who shows no honor to parents and elders?

Any good religion should want to teach against evil and want citizens of honor, who respect their parents and neighbors, who don’t lie, steal, kill, or try to take their friend or neighbors belongings, wife or worse!

Modern America has lost her first love of freedom! All who walk on her shores should be willing to belong 1st to America if they plan to partake of her blessings and freedoms!

Our elected leaders have betrayed us, trying to make us into another France, Greece,or other European nation, The Tea party movement is sending a strong message to leadership! We are America the land of the free and we don’t want to be like any other country!!

This group cares about their neighbor, we want to teach our children to work for a living, to depend on family, friends, and community to meet your needs. Children and adults should know that one must not spend beyond what they can afford, to understand credit, knowing there is no free ride. The progressive movement wants to teach dependence on government, we want to teach independence from government, because we know that govenment must tax the people in order to have funds to provide all the checks, foodstamps, etc. it provides, therefore, only those who are truly unable to work should be given government help according to the state they live in.

God Bless a Free America! A news flash for President Obama, all the polls currently show that MOST Americans believe either in God or at least a higher deity! So we are still a Christian Nation or at least a ,”In God We Trust Nation!,” Not just a nation of citizens as he would have the world believe!
