The McCreary County Record

Letters to the Editor

Leave grave markers alone

Dear Editor,

I live at this time in Cincinnati, Ohio.

I am the daughter of Avery and Edna Slaven who are deceased now.

I put metal markers on my family’s graves in Holloway Cemetery on October 27 which have been removed. Now I don’t know why people are so low to bother the resting places that has gone on.

Furthermore, whoever is removing things from the graveyard should be punished. I would love to post a reward to find whoever is doing this. It’s important to me. I just put new markers on them. I would appreciate it if you could get in touch with me and let me know. I’m 77 years old now but my family is there.

I’m not happy with whoever is doing this. I thought McCreary County people had more respect for the dead than this.

Sincerely,

Bonnie R. Slaven Willenbrink
