Faye Cash pleads not guilty during arraignment
Her bond is reduced; hearing set for Feb. 23
WHITLEY CITY — Alice Faye Cash, 58, pled not guilty before Special Judge Jerry Winchester to 49 counts of second-degree forgery, 13 counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking and two counts of Abuse of Public Trust. She was indicted last November after an investigation found that she was wrongfully receiving full-time salary from the Kentucky Prosecutors’ Advisory Council, McCreary County Fiscal Court and the Kentucky Child Support Enforcement Office.
Initially fully secured, Cash’s bond was reduced on January 7 to a $25,000 property bond which court records indicate was posted by Ronald and Joyce Perry.
Judge Winchester scheduled a pre-trial conference for Cash on February 23.
