WHITLEY CITY — A cooperative investigation by Operation UNITE and the McCreary County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in 19 people being indicted for drug trafficking.

“Sheriff (Gus) Skinner has worked side-by-side with UNITE to identify and build cases against individuals selling drugs in his community,” said Dan Smoot, law enforcement director for UNITE.
The indictment warrants were released on Monday afternoon and law enforcement officials immediately began seeking the suspects. UNITE detectives and sheriff’s deputies were assisted by officers from the Kentucky State Police and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
