In the third place games it was the Cardinals defeating the A’s in 11-12 year olds and the Braves defeating the Marlins for third place in the fast pitch consolation game.

Friday evening the other two divisions met to determine their champions with both games going down to the final inning before being decided.

In the 9-10 year old division the Rockies scored one run in the bottom of the sixth (final inning) to break a 9-9 tie and win the championship while in the coaches pitch league the D’backs scored twice in the bottom of the fifth to take an 8-7 lead and held on for the win.  In the consolation games the Mudcats defeated the Braves for third place in 9-10 year olds and the A’s took third place of the coaches pitch league with a win over the White Sox.

League officials and coaches will now be working on selecting all-start teams to represent the county in various tournaments around the area over the next month.
