Pictured, clockwise from left, Uncle Roscoe Paris Ballou (1901-1951); educated at Berea College and Principal of McCreary County High School in the late 30’s and 40’s; he the served as principal at Stearns High School and studied Law at the University of Louisville: Grandfather Matt Ballou (1879-1955); farmer and blacksmith: Grandmother Rosa Taylor Ballou (1879-1966), mother and housewife: Next is an unnamed cousin who was visiting: Mother Eva Ballou Tankersley (1903-1995), mother and housewife, educated at Berea College: Aunt Sarah Ballou Sutton (1906-1998), educated at Berea she taught school in McCreary County for over 30 years: Aunt Audrey Ballou Keith (1910-1981), educated at Berea College she taught school in McCreary County for about 20 years before moving to Madison County where she received a PhD from EKU.
