Whitley City —     Donnie M. Strunk, age 50 of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Oneida, TN.

    Funeral services were held Saturday February 18, 2012 at 2pm in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Cook and Bro. Jeff Brown officiating.  Burial was at the Jones Cemetery at Strunk, KY. 

    Donnie was born in Pine Knot on April 29, 1961.  He was the son of the late Elmer and Madeline King Strunk.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie and Ronnie Strunk and a sister, Edna Carol Strunk.

    Surviving family include a daughter, Stephanie Strunk of Somerset and two brothers, Darrell Strunk of Pine Knot and David Strunk of Stearns.  four sisters, Joyce Ann Bryant, Williamsburg, KY, Lois Jean Walker of Pine Knot, Doris Fay Strunk of Somerset and Lisa Gail Strunk of Pine Knot.  He has two grandchildren Alexie Vannoy and Clayton Strunk.

    Pine Knot Funeral Home is assisting the family of Donnie Strunk in his funeral arrangements.
