Mr. Johnny Paul Myers, age 66, of Burnside, formerly of McCreary County, passed away Monday, January 28, 2013, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30, at 2:30 p.m. at the Little Rock Creek Cemetery in Strunk. Rev. Frances King will be officiating. Amber Wright and Abby Hatfield will be singing. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Myers, Brandon Myers, Matt Prichard, Stan Myers, Mike Myers and Jimmy Myers.
Johnny had owned and operated a sawmill. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Born May 1, 1946, he was the son of the late John and Ruby (Daugherty) Myers. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers Bobby and Billy Ray Myers and a sister Willa Myers. Surviving family include a daughter Melissa Prichard (and Matt) of Somerset, Robert Myers, Strunk, Terry Myers (Selena), Strunk, and Tony Myers (Tena) of Pioneer, Tennessee. He has 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
