Daryl Boyce Brown

Daryl Boyce Brown, age 62, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky.  

He was born on February 26, 1950, in Laurel County, Kentucky, the son of the late Clyde and Effie Stamper Brown.  

He was united in marriage to Sirelda Shepherd Brown of Pine Knot, Kentucky, who survives.  He is also survived by three children: Bigie Brown, Rebecca Brown Parman and Johnny Daryl Brown, all of Pine Knot, three sisters:  Janice Monroe of Holly Hill, Florida, and Yvonne Hampton and Evelyn Petrey, both of London, Kentucky, four brothers:  Ronald Brown of North Carolina, and Johnny, Rancel and Floyd Brown, all of London, eight grandchildren, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing.  

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by one brother:  Jerry Brown.

He was a former factory worker and a member of the McCreary Church of Christ. He entered the United States Army in July 1968 and served during the Vietnam War.  Staff Sergeant Brown served in the Army National Guard until October 1991.

Funeral services for Daryl Boyce Brown were conducted at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 3, 2012, in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel in London, Kentucky, with Joe Arnold officiating.  Burial followed in the Brown Family Cemetery at Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Pallbearers were his nephews and his son, Johnny
