Chanda Kay Atkins

Chanda Kay Atkins, age 39 years, of Gainesville, Georgia died June 14, 2012 in Pine Knot, Kentucky at her parent’s home.  Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 1pm in the Trinity Temple Church of God.  Burial was in the Pine Knot Cemetery.

She was born in Lafayette, Indiana on September 17, 1972 the daughter of Gary T. and Lola Kay (Jones) Kidd.  She was a fund coordinator for the Jimmy Carter Foundation and attended the Free Chapel Church in Gainesville, Georgia.

Her grandparents, Willie and Vina Jones and Lela Kidd precede her in death.

Survivors include her husband Christopher Atkins of Gainesville, Georgia; parents, Gary T. and Lola Kay Kidd of Pine Knot, Kentucky; children C.J. Gardiner, Kendra Gardiner, Tre Atkins, and Amber Atkins all of Gainesville, Georgia; brother, Mark Kidd of Buford, Georgia; and sisters, Joy Hill and husband John of Helenwood, Tennessee, Kim Cathey and husband Chad, and Melodie Kidd both of Gainesville, Georgia.  Dear friend, Rhonda Solero of Houtchon, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
