Truie Vaughn

Truie Vaughn age 90 of Stearns, Kentucky died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at her home in Stearns, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Silas Gregory, Bro. David Vaughn, and Bro. Estel Jones officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery.

She was born March 4, 1922 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Henry and Lillie Jane (Troxell) Waters. Truie was a member of the East Apple Tree United Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Her mother, father, husband, Rev. Hobert Vaughn, son, Leonard Vaughn, daughter, Beverly Sue Vaughn, brothers, Leonard, Dillard, Curtis, and Glenford Waters, sisters, Dissie Roysdon, Elaney Gregory, Hattie Reel, and an infant sister, Virtie Waters, an infant granddaughter, baby Rapp, a granddaughter-in-law, Darlene King, and a great-granddaughter, Faith Ann Worley precede her in death.

Survivors include her children, Hazel Perry of Stearns, Kentucky, Ella King and husband, Noel of Stearns, Kentucky, Lois Ann Rapp and husband. Ken, of Richmond, Kentucky, Jeanette Worley and husband, Willard, of Stearns, Kentucky and Rev. Samuel Vaughn and wife, Debbie, also of Stearns, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
