Nancy Gilreath, age 69 years, 2 months and 24 days, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012 at her home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 12:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. David Troxell officiating. Burial was in McCreary Memorial Gardens.
She was born April 1, 1943 in Glasgow, Kentucky to A. W. Holmes and Virginia Prichard Holmes. Nancy was a teacher and guidance counselor for 30 years in the McCreary County School system and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and walking.
She is preceded in death by her father A.W. Holmes and her sister, Ann Holmes Novack.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Gilreath, whom she married November 1, 1963, her mother, Virginia Holmes Shepherd, of Whitley City, Kentucky, her son, Christopher Gilreath, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, her brother, Johnny Holmes, of Lexington, Kentucky, her sister, Linda Anderson, of Winfield, Tennessee and her care taker, Maggie Strunk.
