Henry Clark Stephens

Henry Clark Stephens, age 97 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died January 12, 2013 in Williamsburg, Kentucky at the Williamsburg Nursing Home.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 11am with Rev. Braxton King officiating.  Burial was in the Laurel Cemetery.  

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on February 6, 1915 the son of the late Barclay and Ida (Waters) Stephens.  He was a truck driver and of the Baptist Faith.  He served his country in the US Navy.

His parents; wife, Gladys (Elmore) Stephens; children, Henry Hank Stephens, Charles Stephens, and Shirley Ann Rowlett; brothers, Noble Stephens, Haywood Stephens, and Les Reed; sisters, Ruby Neely, Mable Rogers, Jewell Stephens, and Marie Reed; and grandchildren, Bruce Marion, Ricky Stephens, and Jessica Stephens precede him in death.

Survivors include his children, Joseph Barkley Stephens of Whitley City, Kentucky, Richard Steve Stephens, of Bronston, Kentucky, Ronnie L. Stephens and wife, Vicky of Richmond, Kentucky, William E. Stephens and wife, Betty of Versailles, Kentucky, James R. Stephens of Whitley City, Kentucky, Glen Wayne Stephens and wife, Carolyn of Monticello, Kentucky, Donnie G. Stephens of Alabama, Mike Stephens and wife, Barbara of Whitley City, Kentucky, Donna Dean Gibson and husband, Jimmy of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Debbie Kay Yokley and husband, Mark of Ashville, North Carolina. 45 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren also survive

McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
