McCreary County Record

John L. Helton, age 45 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died July 31, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were held Friday, August 3, 2012 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Honeycutt officiating.  Burial was in the Roberts Chapel Cemetery.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on February 24, 1967 the son of the late Robert “Bob” and Eva (Meadors) Helton.  He was a truck driver and a member of the American Legion Post #115.

His parents; and sister, Janice Waters precede him in death.

Survivors include his brothers, Glenn Helton and wife Tammy and Robert Helton, Jr. both of Whitley City, Kentucky; and sister, Joyce Ridner of Ohio.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
