Bob Brooks

Bob Brooks, age 81, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Friday January 25, 2013 in Somerset, Kentucky at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

He was born at Beulah Heights, Kentucky on March 25, 1928 the son of the late John and Winnie Hunley Brooks.

He retired from the United States Military and was a believer in God of the Portestant Faith. He was a lover of animals.

His parents, and his wife Bonnie Burdine Brooks precedes him in death. He is also preceded in death by eight sisters and five brothers, also several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his brother Chester Ed Brooks and wife Jean of Whitley City, Kentucky. A special friend and neighbor Jean Bryant and a special nephew Doyle Brooks who took care of him in his sickness. Several nieces and nephews also survive. His dog named Maggie that he loved.

McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
