Mary Ollie Anderson, age 87

Mary Ollie Anderson, age 87, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of McCreary County, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois.

Funeral services were held Sunday, February 21, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Rev. William Kilby officiating. She was laid to rest at the T. Chitwood Cemetery.

Ms. Anderson was born January 18, 1923, in Creekmore, Kentucky, to the late William and Melda Stephens Anderson. Also preceding her in death are all her brothers and sister: Minnett, Tom, Calvin Sidney, Starlin, Carl Frank, Mark, Hezekiah, Homer, Joe Manuel, and Ada Edith Anderson.

Ms. Anderson was a homemaker and provided child care. She was of the Baptist faith, attending regular church services at the Glenbridge Nursing Home where she resided for the past 17 years.

She has been with her niece Rose Young for 48 years. She has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews that love her dearly and will miss her very much. She showed her love to them in return.

Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
