Al Gore III Supports Biden Administration’s Electric Vehicle Announcement
McCreary County Record – In a recent announcement by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding emissions standards, Al Gore III, son of former Vice President Al Gore, took center stage in support of the Biden administration’s push for electric vehicles (EVs). Energy expert Gabriella Hoffman noted that Gore III is following in his father’s footsteps and may play a larger role in the future.
The new emissions standards aim to increase nationwide adoption of EVs, with the goal of having nearly 70% of all new car sales being zero-emissions within a few years. These regulations are expected to reduce transportation sector carbon dioxide emissions by 7.2 billion metric tons by 2032.
Despite the positive outlook on the announcement, Hoffman criticized Gore III’s statements about American manufacturing capabilities and the reliance on rare earth minerals for EV production. Gore III did not respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
Both Al Gore and Al Gore III have a history of making bold predictions about climate change that have since been disproved by data from NASA, NOAA, and other sources. Hoffman suggested that the use of Gore III in the EPA announcement could be a strategic move by the administration to present a more polished and familiar face to the public.
Hoffman also pointed out that Gore III has previously voiced support for the Inflation Reduction Act, which has been criticized for exacerbating inflation, especially in the energy sector. As the push for EVs continues, Gore III’s role in shaping environmental policies may become more prominent in the coming years.
