Brazilian architecture firm, Padovani Arquitetos, has recently completed the stunning Mont Blanc Residence in Brazil. With an expansive area covering 400 m², the residence showcases the firm’s impressive craftsmanship and attention to detail. The project, which was completed in 2020, showcases the talent of lead architect Lucas Padovani and his team.
The Mont Blanc Residence stands as a testament to the firm’s ability to seamlessly integrate design with the natural topography. Placed on a higher level, the house takes full advantage of the surrounding landscape. The garage is strategically placed on street level, allowing for a fluid transition from the exterior to the interior. The single-floor design of the house creates an integrated and spacious environment.
Visitors are greeted by a light and fluid stairway leading to the entrance of the residence. The entrance is adorned by a reflecting water surface, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. The social areas of the house open completely to the outside, creating a continuous balcony that connects the interior with the breathtaking surroundings.
The central void of the house acts as the social “heart,” with bedrooms and service areas located in separate volumes. The double-height ceiling in the social areas is complemented by a light metal roofing system that allows natural light to fill the rooms. It also helps maintain the cleanliness of the façade.
One notable feature of the Mont Blanc Residence is the front facade, which features slatted metallic panels. These panels can be opened, allowing specific areas to be bathed in natural light. The interior finishes primarily use neutral and natural tones, creating a sense of harmony with the metallic panels, concrete, and wood elements used throughout.
To ensure privacy, the private area of the house, including the suites, is located at the back of the property. The slatted metal panels provide unity and can be opened to integrate the private area with the social and external areas when desired.
The engineering for the Mont Blanc Residence was skillfully executed by AM Arquitetura de Estruturas, while Gilda Maldonado handled the landscape design. Overall, the Mont Blanc Residence is a testament to Padovani Arquitetos’ ability to seamlessly blend architecture, functionality, and the natural environment. It stands as a stunning example of modern design in Brazil and highlights the exceptional talent of Lucas Padovani and his team.
